I read somewhere once that a sign of the wealth of a country is shown by the number of people owning their own homes – the wealthier the country the fewer people who own their homes and the poorer the country the greater the number who do – it is an interesting concept – in Bangladesh I read that 98 percent of the people own their homes and in Switzerland is is under 30 percent. I suppose is sort of makes sense.
In France is is about 50:50 and certainly renting and apartment living is popular.
However comparing rental costs from other countries can be scaring if you are hoping to stay in France a while…

Hello
I want to know about the rent charges for a single person in Sophia Antipolis or a place nearby. I am from INDIA and I will be staying there for 3 months. If you could suggest me some place up to 200 euro per month then it would be of great help.

Hello Gaurav
A very small one room studio apartment, or student accommodation in that area will cost you from 500 to 800 euro a month – a bed and breakfast will cost from 25 euro a night or if you can find one for a longer term perhaps from 600 euro a month – I am sorry but I doubt very much if you will find anything near your budget
Good luck
Tony
