This tool http://www.rssfwd.com/ looks to me to be the simple answer to the RSS mystery.
If you are not already into RSS, you should be, as it will simplify your subscriptions and newsgathering and is the only practical way to get what you want to read when you want it.
The http://www.rssfwd.com/ service makes this even simpler by using you normal email delivery.
